In 2010, Jason Bowman founded Team Fury Basketball, a competitive Iowa AAU high school girl’s basketball program. His responsibilities include coaching, budgeting, fundraising, tournament scheduling, and individual workouts. His program has made an immediate impact for young athletes in the community and surrounding tri-state area.
Bowman also enters his 2nd season with the Loras College Duhawks as an assistant and Head Varsity Reserve Coach.
In Bowman’s first season at Loras, he helped lead them to a 4th place finish in the IIAC and a semifinal appearance in the IIAC Tournament. They finished the season with (15-12) record.
Bowman’s responsibilities with the Duhawks include recruiting, scouting, monitoring academic success, individual workouts, and contributing to offensive and defensive strategies.
Bowman graduated in 2004 from Trine University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and was a four year varsity sprinter for the Thunder. He currently works as a full-time on-site contractor for John Deere Construction and Forestry Division as a Team Lead and Embedded Software Engineer.
A native of Huntington, Indiana, and graduate of Huntington North High School where he was a three-sport athlete, Bowman has been in Dubuque since 2004. |
